Dear Emily C. Watkins Elementary School Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am excited to welcome both our returning and new families as we begin another year of learning, growth, and success at Emily C. Watkins Elementary School.
This year, our theme is Race to Greatness: Focus on Your Lane. Just like racecar drivers stay focused on the track ahead, we are encouraging our students, staff, and families to remain committed to their goals, celebrate their progress, and give their very best effort each day.
At Emily C. Watkins, "focusing on your lane" means:
- Staying committed to learning and personal growth
- Demonstrating positive character and leadership
- Supporting one another as members of our Lion family
- Celebrating individual strengths and achievements
- Keeping our eyes on the finish line of academic excellence
Our dedicated faculty and staff have been working hard to prepare for a successful school year, and we look forward to partnering with you to ensure every child reaches their full potential. Together, we will create a learning environment where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve greatness.
As we begin this exciting journey, I encourage all families to stay engaged, communicate regularly with teachers, and support your child’s learning both at school and at home. When we work together, there is no limit to what our students can accomplish.
