School Closure (9/11 & 9/12)
St. John the Baptist Parish Public School System has been closely monitoring the forecast for Tropical Storm Francine. Based on recent weather updates and the projected path of this system, all after-school activities will be canceled on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
All St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools and district offices will be closed Wednesday, September 12, 2024 and Thursday, September 13, 2024. The school board meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2024 is canceled and will be rescheduled for next week.
Information regarding the reopening of schools and district offices on Friday, September 13, 2024 will be announced following the assessment of all school system properties. Please monitor the district’s website and Facebook page for official updates.
